Antarctic Oil

This is a personal project I've been doing for a few weeks - a few hours every week or so.

I had the idea that about 200 years in the future mega corporations will tap into the Antarctic oil reserves and will build new super refineries to off load the oil around the world and other planets.

The ship on the left is an inspection vehicle on its way to oversee the construction taking place on the forward fingers of the refinery.

I started with a Terragen 2 render in which I had placed blocking geo created in Maya. Then I spent many fun hours painting in Photoshop.

I hope you like and thanks for looking!

Salt Fields

The Salt fields. The salt is dissolving, the city long abandoned. A place I'd like to visit.

I've spent a while playing with the terrains in Vue and this place sort of grew out of those experiments. That and some vivid dreams I've been having about plunging into the darkest abyss.

Anyway,
Created in Vue 6, Maya (for proxy objects) and PS.

Thanks for looking!

Deep City Sub

Hello - In some of my spare time I've been mucking about with some underwater studies. It's kind of a drip process and hour or two every other day over a couple of weeks.

Here the water is really clear and we can see a long way through the murk to the edge of an ancient city.
I really enjoy the way metallic painted surfaces look under water and is something I want to continue to explore.

Any feedback and crit welcome!
